I am super excited to announce that I will be a panelist on the upcoming virtual film viewing of the documentary “Medicating Normal.”

Join the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at Justice Resource Institute for a virtual community screening of Medicating Normal, a 76-minute documentary film exploring our current mental health care system’s reliance on psychiatric drugs to deal with trauma, grief, and distress. There will be an interactive community discussion immediately after the film focused on our sense of agency and power when engaged in the medical system while healing from trauma. Panelists include Kerry Ann Williams, MD, Medical Director of MA Children’s Residential Programming at JRI and trauma-informed child and adolescent psychiatrist; Kendra Campbell, MD, is a holistic psychiatrist, yoga teacher and founder of Free Range Psychiatry, Lynn Cunningham, co-producer/co-director Medicating Normal; Angela Peacock, MSW, former Army Sergeant and subject of the film, Medicating Normal. The panel will be moderated by Jennifer Turner, LMHC, TCTSY-F, Co-Director of the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI.
