I am super excited to announce that I will be a panelist on the upcoming virtual film viewing of the documentary “Medicating Normal.”

Medicating Normal follows the journeys of a newly married couple, a female combat veteran, a waitress and a teenager whose doctors prescribed psychiatric drugs for stress, depression, sleeplessness, focus and trauma. The subjects struggle with serious physical and mental side effects which resulted from taking the drugs as prescribed and also from attempting to withdraw. Experts discuss the evidence base for our current mental health care system, the validity of diagnosis and the DSM-5, and pharmaceutical company’s influence on evidence-based medicine.
Schedule for October 4, 2020:
6 pm CT: Livestream virtual screening of Medicating Normal via Zoom. 76-minute running time.
